Picture Coming Soon!!! Johnathan W. Deel, Pharm.D
Johnathan is a 1997 graduate of Grundy High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from King College in Bristol, TN, in 2001. Johnathan graduated with High Honors of Magna Cum Laude in May 2005 from Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC with a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. He holds a Certificate in Chronic Disease Management. Johnathan is a member of Rho Chi Honor Society. When asked why he chose pharmacy as a profession, Johnathan responded, "In the past, most pharmacists' professions consisted of dispensing medications. Today, pharmacy is evolving and offering many rewarding career options in both community and clinical pharmacy. Always, I have had an interest in science and medicine. I wanted to be able to have a profession that included my personal interest, be rewarding as a profession, and job security. I felt that pharmacy as a whole was very interesting to me, as I will be able to apply my knowledge of medications to disease states in order to provide the best pharmaceutical care for patients. Making a difference in someone's life may consist of working out a complicated drug regimen, explaining to them how to take that medication, or it may be as simple as saying, "Hello" to them as they pass by the pharmacy counter. Whether you are practicing as a community pharmacist, or practicing in a clinical setting you can make a difference in someone's life and it can be extremely rewarding. Unfortunately there will always be patients that need care, therefore there will always be a need for health care providers for these patients. There is a shortage of pharmacists and they are in great need all throughout the country. Pharmacy as a profession will provide me with a secure job in which one day will be able to provide for my family." In his spare time, Johnathan enjoys hunting, listening to music (i.e. country, rock, bluegrass), and watching movies. Management and Staff of Medical Park Pharmacy welcome Johnathan. Johnathan currently resides in Maxie, VA.
